At 11:30 a.m. today I made my goal of 50 thousand words in the novel I've been writing for National Write a Novel Month. Deadline is midnight tonight. Now I get to put that S.O.B. in a folder hidden deep in my computer for a long, long time. I had no real story, just a bunch of memories of junior high, as we called it back then. It wasn't until about three days ago that I hit upon the possibility of using a graphic novel about a dead dog to win the heart of Kim, my middle school crush. Even my computer got so bored it quit on me. But I'm done!
