Vicki Bonks Her Head
Boy, did she. We went for a wet hike in the woods along Coal Creek yesterday and, crossing a rain-slicked log bridge, Vicki went ass-over-teakettle into the creek, landing first on her head and then summersaulting over like Gabby Douglas in the all-around finals. After I leapt into action sketching the scene for you, we went to Urgent Care, where they confirmed that she had no concussion and was going to be okay, after feeling like hell for awhile. She's feeling better today than she thought she would, but can't turn her head and won't be driving soon. She also has found that tylenol with codeine and muscle relaxers can really make the day go by. Great time for me to leave on a trip, eh? I mean, who's gonna draw her? But Bennie is a good nurse and helps her nap. Send Vicki some love, please.
