Writer's Retreat

I went to a three day writer's retreat put on by SCBWI (kid lit), that was FABULOUS. I'm more of an illustrator, but working on my writing, so this was a great opportunity to do just that. Nancy Mercado, from Roaring Brook Press and Jill Santopolo from Philomel spoke and gave us assignments and we worked our butts off. Plus we drank a lot. We're writers, right?
