What's In a Name?

Vicki taught a 2-day communication course in Olympia, our fair State Capital. The day started off on the wrong foot when she mistakenly referred to them as the State Department of Finance, when they were really the State Department of Revenue. It's tough to say "numbers, schmumbers" and then teach a lesson on the importance of using the right words in communication. By the end of the SECOND day they had almost forgiven her.

    yeah, she made it into a "teachable moment." She also showed them this sticky note on day 2 and they cracked up - finally.
